Embrace Powerful Partnerships, Lean into Creativity!

Alaafia Fam! Question: Do you try to do everything yourself? Feel like you’ve got all the answers? It’s alright if you do, I’ve been guilty of it myself! But Osun came with an Orisa Prayer and Meditation message reminding us that we often find our greatest successes through partnership and heeding sound advice.

The story I shared comes from the Cuban corpus and says that there was a time when Sango was engaged in all manners of business, but none of it was going right and he was not finding success. He went to consult with Orunmila and was told that he needed to make an ebo (ritual offering) and leave it by the river. When he got to the riverside, Osun was there and she started to engage him in conversation.
At first, he brushed her off because he was so focused on dropping the ebo. After he was done, he took the time to listen to her and not only did she give him some sound advice, but she also offered to partner with him to make it happen. As she saw it, a big part of his problem was that he was selling things that people wanted but not necessarily things they needed. Sango heeded Osun’s advice and accepted her partnership and saw everything in his life turn around!

As always, lots of lessons! One of which being that strategic partnerships are sometimes the blessing that we need to make things pop. No one knows everything and sometimes it takes an outside perspective to point out the kinks in our system help us how to move forward.
This story also teaches us that, sometimes, it’s less about the “magic” and more about being at the right place at the right time to connect with the right people. Don’t get so caught up in the magical aspects of things that you miss your divine helpers who come in human form.

Tap into our power statement for the week:
I embrace powerful partnerships!

Our card for the week comes from the beautiful Yantra Wisdom Divination Deck, whose creator, Dr. Chanti Tacoronte-Perez, I was blessed to meet this weekend. Sarasvati connects us in with riverine energy of the Hindu goddess who, is in many ways, similar to Osun. She encourages us to let our creativity shine! You don’t have to be “an artist” to make art, “a singer” to sing, or “a dancer” to dance–drop the labels and worries and just allow yourself the  joy and pleasure of creating things, moving your body, and using your voice.
Euclase, our crystal ally, helps to clear our upper energy centers, from throat to crown. It helps us to get out of our heads and tap into our inner knowing, guiding us toward replacing every instance of “I can’t!” with “Of course I can!” We often get so caught up in who and what we think we’re not that we don’t allow ourselves to see the truth of who and what we are. Let go of all your preconceived notions of yourself and see what wondrous things you discover!

May these messages and lessons resonate with you whenever you connect with them! Ase!
