Be Your Own Warm Demander! (Recharge Day 3)

E pele o Family! We pray you’re well and that you’ve been enjoying the Community Recharge. If you haven’t tapped in yet, it’s not too late. You can start now by checking out yesterday’s blog post, and connecting with others in the Facebook group and IG Channel.

On this 3rd day of our Recharge, spirit led me to share a wonderful concept developed by one of our very own Ase Ire Family members, Dr. Franita Ware (the picture is us at our Denver Ase Ire Family meet-up last summer *smile*). It’s called being a Warm Demander Teacher, and I want to propose that each of us become our very own Warm Demanders.

What does that mean?

It means having a combination of high expectations and compassion for yourself. Being warm and caring toward yourself while also demanding excellence and challenging yourself to walk in your destiny as fully as you can.

Just as Dr. Ware tells us children learn better when they know their teachers really care, so do adults. I like to think of myself as a Warm Demander Teacher: I love and care for each and every person who is a part of this community and truly want you to succeed and be great! And because I care, I’ma “talk about us” like I do and challenge us to be exactly who we’re meant to be.

As you continue your spiritual journey, do this for yourself. Love and care for yourself. Engage in self-loving activities. Praise yourself. And then, tap in and do the work to be the very best version of yourself you can be, because you’re worth it. You can’t bully and deprive yourself into excellence, lead with love.

Ire o! Blessings always!

Thank you Iya. It’s amazing how Spirit brings us into alignment. I set an intention to focus on myself today. To do the work I needed to get done. I was using my self talk like a cheerleader rooting for her team to win and over and over I continued making those little wins all day. When excuses came up I coached myself through to the finish line. I’m tired but satisfied that I got the job done.

You’re so welcome! I love you being your own cheerleader, I always say if we aren’t who will be? Ire o!

I am the one! I AM the one to be loved and cared for… I am the one that continues to grow in wellness, wholeness and in purpose

I love that term – Warm Demander, and I love the reminder to turn the warmth inward as well!
